What to do with money when you have so much of it that you can buy practically anything in the world? The only thing left to do is to give it all away.

What will you learn in the new podcast?

The Gospel of wealth is a short reflection by Carnegie on the conditions of society and the distribution of wealth for the good of humanity.

Wealth is not bad

He believed that the concentration of money was good and natural for society. The most competent will have the most money, and it is their task, or rather duty, to accumulate the greatest amount of wealth, which they must use for charitable purposes.

Leaving money is not enough

In addition to money, a millionaire or billionaire is obliged to share his competence. If he simply gave his money to the state, to some charity, or to unworthy relatives, they might do more harm than good.

Unnecessary luxury

Upper 1% is to be directly involved in the philanthropic process. He argued that the rich man knows much better what will help the poor than he does himself. A poor person who just gets money is likely to misuse it on unnecessary luxuries he cannot afford.

Resistance to inherited wealth

He believed that the sons of prosperous businessmen were not as talented as their fathers because they were not taught the principles of business. The children of the wealthy often needlessly wasted resources that could have been used for the benefit of society.

♂️ Poverty as an advantage

He believed that the future leaders of society would rise from the ranks of the poor, and that the non-poor had an advantage over the rich because their parents paid more attention to them and forced them to learn a better work ethic.

NBS. On the basis of Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 October 2020 on European crowdfunding service providers for business and amending Regulation (EU) 2017/1129 and Directive (EU) 2019/1937 (the "Regulation on European crowdfunding service providers for business"), crowdfunding will become a legally regulated activity. From the nature of the Regulation in question, it is expected that the authority authorising and supervising the activities of crowdfunding service providers within the Slovak Republic will be the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic or the National Bank of Slovakia. As a provider of crowdfunding services, we welcome this effort of the European Parliament and we are ready to actively participate in the implementation of the Regulation in order to clarify and set uniform rules for crowdfunding within Slovakia as well as throughout the European Union.
