Young Donald was already a very ambitious man and as the son of a successful man, he certainly wanted to prove that he could be as good and maybe even better than his father. That was why his eyes were fixed on the skyscraper-studded Manhattan Island.

1. He's the son of real estate mogul Fred Trump.

2. Trump's first project was the redevelopment of the dilapidated Hotel Comodor.

3. The main project manager of Trump Tower was a woman - Barbara Res.

4. His lawyer Roy Cohn played an extremely important role in his life. He himself referred to him as his mentor or second father.

5. Trump is still to this day one of the best PR people in the whole world. His ability to sell, especially himself and his ideas, was and still is world class.

6. His eloquence and marketability even saved him from total bankruptcy in the 1990s.

7. Donald wanted to be a great player. In the 1980s, he decided to move into the casino business. He chose Atlantic City, the gambling capital of the East Coast. He knew nothing about casinos before he entered the business.

8. In 1988, he bought the Plaza Hotel in New York. He put his first wife, Czech model Ivana Trump, who ran the Trump Plaza Casino, at the helm.

9. He himself claimed that bankers were queuing up to lend him money, but he was unable to secure a loan from the bank.

10. His other well-known project was the so-called Wolllman skating ring, a public skating rink ⛸️ which had been dilapidated for years and the city had failed to repair it. Trump forced the mayor to give him that contract.

11. The third casino, The Taj Mahal, got him into a real mess. He even had to be bailed out by his father, Fred. He sent a replacement to the casino and put $3 million into it. He turned it into chips, but he didn't make any bets - he just left it there.

12. The 1990s were a crisis year for Donald. His casino business went bust, his airline went bust. He also lost his famous Plaza Hotel.

18. It is said that without the show "Apprentice", he probably wouldn't have become the 45th President of the United States of America.

19. Trump is an expert on the real estate market. There is really no doubt about it - the authors of his biography, Michael Kranish and Marc Fisher, say so.

20. He's a terrible workaholic. Basically, he has no other life. Allegedly, but he doesn't like to spend time in society. He only shows up at events to do promo.

21. Showmanship is very important to him. His success lies in great PR.

22. He says he sleeps only 4⃣ hours. His acquaintance, and therefore especially the women who know him, claim that he is able to watch TV all night. Mostly sports and news.

23. He's a loner. He operates alone and he says - one man army. When the authors of Trump Revealed asked him who he would go to if he was really in trouble, he said his children.

24. His favorite movie is Citizen Kane.

25. He also claims to enjoy trying and striving for something, but once he achieves it, he immediately loses interest.

26. He's very good at making deals where he doesn't have to put a dollar in, but then he's able to profit monetarily from those deals.

27. He admits that his character has not changed much since first grade. He often - especially on Twitter - gets into absurd personal conflicts with various celebrities.
