The situation with COVID-19 goes hand in hand with panic and stress.

The media have been given fantastic "grub" these weeks, where they can gorge themselves at a giant table and sell magazine covers. Unfortunately, they have no choice now. The media business is one that has suffered greatly these days. Especially print and advertising.

I will not forgive myself one remark, namely, by what "sophisticated" formula we count death statistics. Global. Even though I didn't want to write about it in this blog, I won't avoid it because it has to do with panic and what I will write later.

Panic

We all accepted the fact that we divide the number of deaths from coronavirus by the number of people infected and we come up with a % rate of people dying from COVID-19. Easy math, right?

In Germany, we report less than 1% deaths out of the number infected. In Italy it is more. Unfortunately due to lack of medical emergency and care. And also thanks to the higher average age of patients in Italy.

Every single day we count the numbers of infected vs. the number of deaths in the online world. And every single day, we are fed this misinformation that is almost 100% false. The truth is that the number of those infected is far higher than is being counted. The number of deaths, however, is not.

Top scientists estimate at least 3-5 times the number of those infected, or those who have already overcome the coronavirus. Even, there are statements that speak of more than 10 times!

I didn't want to cause even more fear. I just want you to fill in the numbers in the box the number of infected and you come up with a % death rate that is more realistic than what we see on TV and read on the internet every day. And maybe this will get us closer to the common flu.

I will not pursue this topic further. I take this coronavirus situation absolutely responsibly and seriously and I will not deliberately make light of it. I myself respect all the orders and rules that we have set for ourselves as a society.

I see it as positive that we were able to come together in this not quite normal situation and pull together. However, I fear that we will lead ourselves into the biggest problems that may yet befall us through fear and panic.

Opportunity

But there are people who know how to use this panic perfectly. Let us now look at it differently. Behind every situation like this is an opportunity.

Those who do not succumb to panic and fear immediately become interested in it, how to take advantage of this chaos. This situation that is happening is no gift, because people are dying.

But whenever the rhythm of the economy changes and things start to happen differently than planned, there is room for the smart ones and a chance to make a significant appreciation in their wealth.

Under no circumstances should an entrepreneur or investor succumb to panic. I think Warren Buffet, the most successful investor of all time, said: "Be greedy when others are afraid".

Meanwhile, as the world struggles with this difficult situation, the investor needs to think, because this is a time when he can make the right decision at the right time. In the last few days I have received some positive news and tips on where to invest.

Stocks, real estate, gold. There have even been a number of merchants with drapes and disinfectant gels who have made quite a bit of money out of the situation.

Investment

Aside from the fact that we are a platform that brokers real estate projects, don't sell your shares in the stock market now, even though you have probably experienced a shock the last few days. In the long run, it will come back and the stock will jump back on its growth curve. This will happen if your investment strategy has been long-term and you have time.

If you want to sell your property, now is not the time. Wait until the situation calms down. Shop now!

Unfortunately, many people will have to sell their property under adverse circumstances at a significantly lower price than they would have received 2 months ago. However, this is a great opportunity for an investor.

Small development building of the J. Wolker Residence is a good example of how to exploit panic and fear. That is to say, to buy and build at a lower cost and to sell at a decent profit in a phase of economic growth.

There will definitely be more such opportunities. Some of them, if we are lucky, we will publish on our platform for all INVESTORS CLUB members. We will probably miss some.

"Let's be smart. Let's get rid of emotions. The bad ones, but also the overly optimistic ones."

I'm investing right now. Like my colleagues. To those of you who choose to do the same, fingers crossed on the road to passive income...
