Warren Buffett, known as the "Oracle of Omaha", is one of the most successful investors of all time. Buffett runs Berkshire Hathaway, which owns more than 60 companies, including insurer Geico, battery maker Duracell and the Dairy Queen restaurant chain. In 2010, he and Bill Gates launched the Giving Pledge program, which asks billionaires to pledge to donate at least half of their wealth to charity.

1. He bought his first shares of Cities Service Preferred when he was 1⃣1⃣ years old.

2. From his youth, Buffett was not only tactful, but also extremely diligent. By the age of 16, he had earned 53,000 .

3. After three years at the University of Nebraska, Buffett applied to Harvard Business School. 

4. What is Buffett's secret to staying young? Coca-Cola and ice cream. He eats like a 6-year-old.

5. For breakfast, Buffett often visits McDonald's with bacon, eggs and cheese biscuits if the market is up, or the austere Two Sauces if the market is down. 

6. Warren has lived in the same house in Omaha since 1958, which he originally bought for $31,500. The house is simple, with 5 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. A five-room house with 2.5 bathrooms.

7. After he proposed to his wife in 1951, Buffett's father-in-law asked him to come in for "an interview." It turned out that the father-in-law did not believe in his plans for the future. In fact, he was firmly convinced that Buffett would fail.

8. Since 2000, Buffett has held annual fundraisers and auctioned off meet-and-greets through charity luncheons.

9. Some people are so eager that they offered up to $4.57 million for lunch with him .

10. In 2013, Buffett earned an average of $37 million a day, driven by rising stock prices.

11. Nearly 94 percent of his wealth was earned after 60 years.

12. Although Buffett has a Twitter account (@WarrenBuffett ) with over 1.25 million followers - he has only 9⃣ published tweets and it turns out that none of them were written by him.

13. Buffett owns nearly 20 suits, all by the same designer - Madame Lee. He's never paid for one.

14. From the moment he wakes up, Buffett's nose is in the paper. In fact, he estimates that he spends about 80 percent of his day reading.

15. When asked about the key to his success, Buffett pointed to a stack of books and said : "Read 500 pages like this every day. This is how knowledge works. It adds up, like compound interest."

16. Starting in 2014, Buffett held a contest among all of his employees and challenged them to guess who those 16 teams would be during NCAA March Madness. If anyone guessed all the teams correctly, he promised to pay him $1,000,000 every year for the rest of his life.

17. Buffett, who owns 5.6 % shares of Apple stock, finally got rid of the flip phone for the iPhone 11 that was gifted to him by Apple CEO Tim Cook. 

18. Every Sunday we take 1⃣2⃣ children to Dairy Queen for ice cream.

19. Warren rarely sends emails - in fact, he claims to have sent only one email in his life that ended up in federal court.

20. When he was 18, he fell in love with a girl from Omaha. To impress her, he learned to play the ukulele.

21. In addition to being a successful investor and CEO, he is also a great philanthropist. In 2006, he announced that he planned to gradually give 85 % of his Berkshire Hathaway shares to five foundations - and he has been fulfilling his promise ever since.

22. In February 2011, Buffett received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor, from former President Barack Obama. Thanks to his philanthropic donations (he has donated more than $2 billion to charitable foundations since 2014) - Buffett was selected to receive such a prestigious award.

23. When Coca-Cola launched its cherry flavor in the Chinese market in March 2017, for a limited time, it put a face on Warren Buffett's can. He owns 9.3 % shares of the brand.

24. As a fan of a successful TV show Breaking Bad (cz. "Gingerbread Daddy") in 2013 disguised himself in the series Water White - alias Heisenberg.

25. He likes to joke around. He is still a child at heart. In fact, when he announced to the world that he was joining Twitter, his first tweet read: "Warren in the house."

26. Although he eschewed technology, he made some concessions. For example, he has been known to play bridge online, which he shares with other people who are interested in playing the game.
