You'll recognize it. The internet is full of \"wise\" advice about money, and then there's all the well-meaning advice from parents, friends and family. Even though you get a lot of them in life, that doesn't mean they're all helpful, too. We've rounded up some of the worst financial advice that many people still think is right to this day. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Some of you may have said to yourselves at this moment \"but if you're in a bank, my grandmother advised me to keep my money in a sock or under the mattress\"<\/em>. Anyway, money that stands still for a long time, <\/strong>either in the bank or in cash at home, lose their value<\/strong> year after year due to inflation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Although this advice was once very prudent, it is now a relic.
